There will be a special guest pup at my June 7th class. My dog, Jovi, does not have a sitter for that day and will be in the class. She is a very friendly dog but I understand not everyone is comfortable with dogs.

Join us in exploring the art of dyeing your own yarn. This class will teach you the fundamentals of dyeing wool yarn to achieve your desired color using acid dyes. From dyeing solids and semi-solids to incorporating dye powder for a unique touch, you'll learn it all.

This course will include:

  • Understanding acid dye

  • Creating different shades

  • Achieving a consistent solid color

  • Dyeing variegated solids

  • Adding speckles with dye powder

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by GO ART!
